The company behind AerooShield U.S.A
Blue Peak Imports Inc. was formed to bring AerooShield products to the U.S. as the exclusive importer and distributor. Our goal is to introduce the technology, build awareness, and develop a strong local distribution network across the United States.
How it started
My background is in construction, design and commercial façade work, including high-rise and major building projects in London. Fire safety was always part of that world, but after the Grenfell Tower fire it became an even greater focus throughout the industry.
After witnessing several incidents involving batteries overheating and catching fire on construction sites and even in our own office, I became interested in developing a safe enclosure where batteries could be charged and stored overnight with less risk. I started discussing the idea with people I knew in design and construction, trying to understand how something simple and practical could be developed around that problem.
The AeerooShield Opportunity
A couple of years after I left London, my former business partner called me and showed me AerooShield. His first reaction was essentially, “Isn’t this the kind of thing you were trying to develop?”
That immediately caught my attention. The product was compact, automatic and designed to react inside enclosed spaces — very close to the direction I had been thinking about years earlier.
The original conversation was about opportunities in Europe, but by then I had moved to Costa Rica and my focus had shifted toward the Americas. When I learned AerooShield had no U.S. representation, the conversation changed, and the opportunity to bring the product to the United States started to take shape.
Formation of Blue Peak Imports Inc.
During that period I was spending time in Michigan with my long time friend Roger Bouwman. Once he saw the product and understood what it could do, he became genuinely excited about its potential and decided to come aboard.
That led to the formation of Blue Peak Imports Inc. in Grand Rapids, Michigan, creating the U.S. company behind AerooShield U.S.A.
Where We Are Now
Today, Blue Peak Imports Inc. is the company behind AerooShield U.S.A., responsible for introducing, marketing and developing the product in the United States.
The goal is to build awareness, distribution and trust around a technology we believe has a real place in electrical enclosures, machinery, vehicles, boats, RVs and other enclosed spaces across the U.S.
